It is a great honor and pleasure to meet you today. This is a historic visit for me. I am personally very grateful to you. I am very honored and extremely grateful for the invitation to China.

I am also happy to attend the opening ceremony of the 2023 World Summer University Games here in Chengdu, China. So I thank you again. I really appreciate this invitation.

Mr. President, I am grateful to you and your government also for supporting my country. China was one of the first to recognize Georgia's independence in 1992, when we regained independence. Then we established diplomatic relations between our two countries.

I would like to emphasize that Georgia strongly supports the One China principle. We have emphasized this position many times and will continue to do so in the future.

Georgia highly values friendship and partnership with China, and I am grateful for your decision to upgrade our relationship to a strategic partnership, which I believe will bring concrete results and benefits to both sides.

Let me reiterate that Georgia is committed to the idea of deepening trade and economic ties with China in many directions, and we are glad that important documents will be signed within the framework of this visit.

Thank you very much once again," said the Prime Minister.

As the President of the People's Republic of China, Xi Jinping, noted, Georgia and China are establishing a strategic partnership, which will move bilateral relations to a new level.

"I am glad to meet you, Mr. Prime Minister. Welcome to the opening ceremony of the 31st World University Games in Chengdu.

You have mentioned many times that you attach great importance to the relations between Georgia and China, and you actively promote bilateral cooperation. I highly appreciate it.

It has been 31 years since we established diplomatic relations. China-Georgia relations are developing in a robust and stable manner. The political trust of the two countries is solid, and the results of cooperation in various fields are noticeable. Georgia is a friend and good partner of China. No matter how things develop in the international arena, China's attitude towards the development of relations with Georgia will not change. A joint statement will be issued during your visit to China. It will be announced that Georgia and China are establishing a strategic partnership, thus our bilateral relations will move to a new level.

China and Georgia should work together to give impetus to the better development of our strategic partnership from this new beginning, promote the development of various fields of the two countries, and contribute to the welfare of mankind. I would say that. Thank you," said the Chinese President.
