National Movement says their representatives were attacked by Georgian Dream activists in Guria

There is noise and controversy in Chokhatauri.

According to the National Movement, members of the party, who arrived in Guria, were physically confronted by the Georgian Dream activists.

As the party explains, the physical confrontation started when the United National Movement was handing out information brochures to local residents and protesting the sale of the square.

"Lasha Tolordava, member of the City Council, chairman of the Georgian Dream faction, likely participated in the retaliation against the opponents. The head of the Ozurgeti organization of the National Movement Davit Khavanadze was taken to the clinic by ambulance," the party said.

As Davit Khavanadze explained, Georgian Dream is represented by offenders.

"Criminal Chigogidze mobilized his criminal friends. There are no people here who would represent the interests of Chokhatauri. These are just Chigogidze's friends and clan. These people physically attacked us. Why? Because we should not tell the people of Chokhatauri that they want to sell Dumbadze square. This is the face of the Georgian Dream. They are violent people and they are criminals," said Davit Khvanadze, whose comments were published by the party's press service.
