According to one of the leaders of Lelo, Salome Samadashvili, they will request public information from the State Maintenance Agency regarding the use the governmental plane by the Prime Minister's family, in parallel with the start of the impeachment procedure against Irakli Gharibashvili.
As Salome Samadashvili said at today's briefing, the party will send an official letter to the head of the State Security Agency of Georgia today.
"As you know, in connection with the corruption and abuse of office by the Prime Minister of Georgia, Irakli Gharibashvili, Lelo came out with the initiative that it is necessary to start the impeachment procedure against the Prime Minister.
Yesterday, members of the government and representatives of the Russian Dream, throughout the day, lied to the public that the use of the governmental plane by the Prime Minister's family for their own purposes was not a problem, as the funds spent on it were not taken from the state budget. We believe that if these funds were not taken from the state budget, then we are dealing with serious bribery. Therefore, in parallel with the fact that today we are preparing the relevant impeachment procedure, it is very important for us to request public information. Today I will officially address the head of the State Maintenance Agency of Georgia”, said Salome Samadashvili.
