Gia Volski: Zurabishvili should at least explain to people what she brought from the visits, which she held without agreement, in violation of the constitution

I don't think that meetings with female MPs or Lomjaria are enough. We don't know anything about certain episodes of Zurabishvili's voyage - she should at least explain to people what she took there and what she brought from there, First Vice-Speaker of the Parliament Gia Volski told reporters.

Volski drew attention to the statement made by the President of Latvia regarding Georgia joining the sanctions, noting that perhaps Zurabishvili intentionally did not provide him with information. Volski states that in such a case, Salome Zurabishvili can be described "as a politician representing the party that opposes the interests of Georgia".

"I don't think that the meetings held with female MPs or Lomjaria are enough. We don't know anything about certain episodes of Zurabishvili's voyage. The only thing we know is that she met with the President of Latvia, who noted after the meeting that there are certain problems in Georgia related to the development of democratic institutions and made serious accusations that Georgia does not join the sanctions imposed on Russia. It seems that he does not know, or Salome Zurabishvili did not inform him intentionally about the fact that no fact of evasion of sanctions has been detected on the territory of Georgia, and a rather authoritative commission spoke about it. As for the bilateral sanctions, Zurabishvili should have known that this will not even be noticeable for Russia, while it will destroy Georgia economically. If she did not provide information about this to the leaders she met, we can already evaluate Salome Zurabishvili as a politician representing the party that opposes the interests of Georgia. I think she has should talk about all this not with Nino Lomjaria or the female deputies whom I respect, but with people. If she does not talk to the government, she should at least explain to people what she took and what she brought from the visits, which she held without agreement, in violation of the constitution," said Volski.
