According to the Minister of Justice of Georgia, Rati Bregadze, when there is an appropriate recommendation from the doctors, 3rd President Mikheil Saakashvili will be transferred to a penitentiary institution.
According to Bregadze, Saakashvili's health has improved and they are happy about that.
"Regarding convicted Mikheil Saakashvili, we have been told many times that we are absolutely right before the law. This was confirmed both at the level of the Georgian courts in Georgia and also by the decision of the Strasbourg court. It became clear that the state is doing everything to ensure that the health rights of this particular person are fully protected.
