Salome Samadashvili: We don't have time to waste time with the representatives of the Russian government, who have not fulfilled the important requirements of the European Union and are going to continue the simulation processes even today

We don't have time to waste time with the representatives of the Russian government, who have not fulfilled the important requirements of the European Union and are going to continue the simulation processes even today, Lelo MP Salome Samadashvili said while commenting on the action plan adopted by the authorities and the creation of working groups to fulfill the 9 conditions of the European Union.

According to her, it is also unacceptable that the government adopted the action plan behind closed doors.

"It is absolutely unacceptable to prepare a document behind closed doors and then announce that if you want, accept this agenda. Obviously, I don't expect that the government, which failed to fulfill all the requirements of the European Union, will offer something interesting to the public this time. From the very first day, unlike Georgian Dream, Lelo knew what steps had to be taken to fulfill the requirements of the European Union. We have initiated bills reflecting this agenda. We call on the government to start reviewing them. Creating a fake process that ends up with requests still being unfulfilled is of little interest to us. We don't have time to waste time with the representatives of the Russian government, who have not fulfilled the important requirements of the European Union and are going to continue the simulation processes even today," said Samadashvili.

The MP also responded to the decision of the Minister of Foreign Affairs to attend the OSCE Ministerial, which is also attended by the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Russia, and noted that it would be correct if Georgia was not represented at the Ministerial, like Ukraine and the Baltic states.

Samadashvilo believes that the Minister representing the country, 20 percent of which is occupied by Russia, should justify his decision.

"The least he should have done is to lower the level of participation, not to directly participate in this forum. However, I think that along with Ukraine and the Baltic states, the foreign minister of the country whose territory is under Russian occupation should not attend this forum," said Samadashvili.
