Juansher Burchuladze: The army clothing is not of a lower quality that any expensive brand

According to the Minister of Defense, Juansher Burchuladze, the information broadcast by TV Pirveli, according to which low-quality uniforms are supplied to the Georgian army, is a "radical lie".

As he told journalists at the press conference held after the government meeting, army clothing "is not of a lower quality that any expensive brand".

"[In the story of TV Pirveli ] attention was also focused on the quality of our property, which is also a radical lie. The pandemic period showed us that it is necessary for the state to have an enterprise. During the pandemic, it was very difficult for us, many Turkish enterprises were closed, many reduced the production of their products. At some point it was very difficult for us to get the necessary things. Accordingly, we made this decision, we bought an already developed enterprise, where today we have 600 employees. [As for] army clothing, anyone can come and take our sportswear and see if it has a lower quality than any expensive brands. As for boots, a paradox occurred here as well. During the tenure of the Prime Minister, we introduced 2 best brands of boots. Our opposition, I don't know, probably hostile forces wrote a letter to this company - I have this letter. They wrote them and asked if the boots they provided us were really authentic. The company contacted us. They told us that they had not seen such a thing in any country. Is not this discrediting one's own country? The company lost its desire to cooperate with us," said Juansher Burchuladze.

In addition, the Minister also spoke about the state-owned sewing company Delta Textiles and noted that there is no "legal problem" in using it for commercial purposes, and depending on the demand for it, an "online store" can be made.
