Public Defender to pay official visit to Kyiv and Warsaw

On December 7-8, Public Defender of Georgia Levan Ioseliani will pay an official visit to Kyiv and Warsaw.

According to the Public Defender’s Office, Levan Ioseliani will hold a meeting with Dmytro Lubinets, Ukrainian Parliament Commissioner for Human Rights, during his official visit to Kyiv Ukraine. He will also take part in the international high-level human rights conference in Kyiv, where topics of discussion will be the ongoing events in Ukraine and Europe, measures to eliminate the consequences of the Ukraine-Russia war, and the importance of human rights protection. The conference will be held in connection with the 75th anniversary of the adoption of the Declaration of Human Rights.

As part of his official visit, the Public Defender will meet with OSCE/ODIHR representatives in Warsaw (Poland). The state of human rights protection in the country and the issues of close and multilateral cooperation between the Public Defender’s Office of Georgia and OSCE/ODIHR will be discussed at the meetings.
