I congratulate His Holiness, the Catholicos-Patriarch of Georgia Ilia II with special respect and love on his 91st birthday, - stated in the congratulatory statement of the Prime Minister of Georgia, Irakli Gharibashvili.

According to Gharibashvili, a nation that has such a spiritual leader is happy.

For almost half a century, His Eminence's work, distinguished by his wisdom and love for his neighbor, has played an important role in the development of our civil and spiritual life, in strengthening the unity of Georgians, in establishing the highest values in society.

The examples of morality, spiritual peace and foresight, which our patriarch shows with his own life, are exemplary not only for the Orthodox, but also for all citizens of our country. His contribution is a continuation of the legacy of the greatest children of Georgia and a guide for future generations.

I wish longevity, health and courage to our patriarch," Gharibashvili's statement says.
