Ruling party delegation headed by Irakli Kobakhidze meets with Deputy Minister of Trade and Commerce of China

As part of the official visit to the People’s Republic of China, the delegation of the ruling party headed by Georgian Dream Chairman Irakli Kobakhidze met with Ling Ji, the Deputy Minister of Trade and Commerce of China.

“We met with Deputy Minister of Trade Ling Ji; we discussed all the issues related to trade and economic cooperation between China and Georgia. The discussion touched on various fields, trade in various areas as well as cooperation in the fields of energy, transport, and tourism. We touched on all areas of the economy – we had a very detailed and productive discussion. I thank the Deputy Minister of Trade of China for this,” Irakli Kobakhidze stated.

Within the framework of the visit, the delegation met with Minister Liu Jianchao, the head of the International Department of the Chinese ruling party, Deputy Minister Sun Haiyan, Zhang Laiming, Vice President of the Development Research Center of the State Council, and Xiao Jie, Deputy Chairman of the Presidium of the National People's Congress of China.

The delegation of the ruling party includes First Deputy Chairman of Parliament Giorgi Volski, Deputy Chairman of Parliament Irakli Chikovani, Foreign Relations Committee Chairman Nikoloz Samkharadze, Davit Songhulashvili, chairman of the Sector Economy and Economic Policy Committee, Agrarian Affairs Committee Chairwoman Nino Tsilosani, and Viktor Sanikidze, the first deputy chairman of the Sports Committee.

The visit of the Georgian Dream delegation to the People’s Republic of China will conclude on 20 January.
