The ruling party delegation, headed by Georgian Dream Chairman Irakli Kobakhidze, continues to hold meetings in Shanghai as part of the visit to the People’s Republic of China. Today, members of the delegation met with Chen Jing, Deputy Chairman of the Shanghai Council.

After the meeting, an official dinner was held in honor of the Georgian Dream delegation. Before the meeting at the Council, the delegation visited the Shanghai Development Exhibition Center where they familiarized themselves with the economic plan for the development of Shanghai. High-level meetings were held in Beijing as part of the visit to the People’s Republic of China. The Georgian Dream delegation met with Minister Liu Jianchao, the head of the International Department of the Chinese ruling party, Deputy Minister Sun Haiyan, Zhang Laiming, Vice President of the Development Research Center of the State Council, Xiao Jie, Deputy Chairman of the Presidium of the National People's Congress of China, and Deputy Trade and Commerce Minister Ling Ji.

The delegation of the ruling party includes First Deputy Chairman of Parliament Giorgi Volski, Deputy Chairman of Parliament Irakli Chikovani, Foreign Relations Committee Chairman Nikoloz Samkharadze, Davit Songhulashvili, chairman of the Sector Economy and Economic Policy Committee, Agrarian Affairs Committee Chairwoman Nino Tsilosani, and Viktor Sanikidze, the first deputy chairman of the Sports Committee. Meetings within the framework of the visit to the People’s Republic of China will be held tomorrow as well.
