Prime Minister of Georgia Irakli Kobakhidze continues his meetings in Brussels. The head of the government met with the President of the European Parliament, Roberta Metsola.

According to the government administration, the President of the European Parliament congratulated Irakli Kobakhidze on his appointment as the Prime Minister and wished him success. On his part, Irakli Kobakhidze thanked Roberta Metsola for her support.

"The parties summarized the progress achieved by Georgia on the way to join the European Union, and also reviewed the implemented and ongoing measures to ensure the integration of Georgia into the European Union.

The Prime Minister spoke about the importance of granting the candidate status to Georgia and noted that under his leadership, the Georgian government continues to work to achieve further progress in the process of the country's accession to the European Union.

Irakli Kobakhidze emphasized the role of the European Parliament and the importance of its support in the process of Georgia joining the European Union. The parties assessed the dynamics of cooperation between Georgia and the European Parliament and expressed their readiness to strengthen the partnership.
