Nikoloz Samkharadze: For 30 years, the USA has been supporting Georgia in various directions of building state institutions, economic development, democracy support and most importantly, territorial integrity

For 30 years, the USA has been supporting Georgia in various directions - in the aspects of building state institutions, economic development, democracy support and most importantly, territorial integrity, - the Chairman of the Foreign Relations Committee of the Parliament, Nikoloz Samkharadze, made this statement at the meeting of the committee, where MPs are listening to the US Ambassador to Georgia, Robin Dunnigan.

Samkharadze thanked the American diplomat, the American people and the US government on behalf of the committee.

"In 2009, we signed the strategic partnership charter with the USA and we have been strategic partners for 15 years, although the USA has been supporting Georgia in various directions for 30 years - in the aspects of building state institutions, economic development, democracy support and, most importantly, territorial integrity. The support of the US in the direction of non-recognition of independence of the so-called independence of the occupied territories is also very important.

On behalf of the committee, I would like to thank the US ambassador, the American people and the US government very much," Samkharadze said at the beginning of the session.

The US Ambassador to Georgia Robin Dunnigan was invited by the Foreign Relations Committee of the Parliament.

The main aspects of the Georgia-US strategic partnership and US foreign policy - this is the topic on which Robin Dunnigan is being heard in the Parliament.
