Shalva Papuashvili to Roman Gotsiridze: Tell me, are you a politician of Georgia or a politician of a foreign country? Everything has a limit! - When there is a betrayal of the country's interests in the parliament hall, we will not allow it

Finally, are you a politician of Georgia or a politician of a foreign country? Which flag is valuable to you, the flag of Georgia or the flag of another country? Everything has a limit! When there is a direct betrayal of the country's interests in the session hall of the Parliament of Georgia, we will not allow it!" - this is how the Speaker of the Parliament, Shalva Papuashvili, addressed the MP Roman Gotsiridze in the session hall of the Parliament, who asked the Minister of Internal Affairs, Vakhtang Gomelauri, about the $22 million worth of aircraft imported from Qatar.

As he mentioned, the information spread by Roman Gotsiridze is misinformation.

"Disinformation against Georgia was spread in the parliament session hall, and the author of this disinformation is a former member of the "National Movement", currently a member of the "Eurooptimists" political group. This disinformation is, of course, a deliberate and coordinated campaign against our country, which, unfortunately, has been carried out by various internal and external forces against this country for a long time. The purpose of this is, of course, to damage our country and tarnish its reputation. When foreigners do it, it is understandable. You can see that among them, the statements of some representatives of the Ukrainian government. The statements of the representative of the Ukrainian Parliament were in Euronest today. He shamefully accused Georgia of some things. Such ingratitude also happens, unfortunately, we are used to it. We also hear this from ENGOs, which are financed from abroad and carry exactly this narrative that sanctions are being circumvented through Georgia. We remind you of "Transparency International", "Droa" and various such organizations. None of the non-governmental organizations, which receive millions of funding from abroad to expose disinformation, do not expose this shameful campaign against Georgia. Everyone is busy only with their own political goals that these NGOs have. And finally we got to the point that in the parliament session hall, the member of the parliament, who is supposed to represent the interests of Georgia, spreads shameful misinformation using the tribune of the parliament of Georgia. Everything is understandable, political controversy, but when you blame your homeland for something, I think it goes beyond all limits. Make up your mind in the end, whether you are a politician of Georgia or a politician of a foreign country, which flag is valuable to you, the flag of Georgia or the flag of another country. Everything has a limit! When there is a direct betrayal of the country's interests in the session hall of the Parliament of Georgia, we will not allow it!" Shalva Papuashvili addressed Gotsiridze.

For information, MP Roman Gotsiridze noted at the plenary session, where Minister of Internal Affairs Vakhtang Gomelauri is being heard, that the destination of the $22 million worth of aircraft imported from Qatar is unclear. According to him, something similar has not happened in recent years. In addition, as the opposition MP points out, taking into account that Georgia is one of the ways of importing sanctioned goods into Russia, and according to his own assertions, statistics show that the export of goods from Georgia to the former Central Asian republics, for example Kyrgyzstan and Kazakhstan, has increased by hundreds of percent, the question arises, Will these aircraft move to Kyrgyzstan or Kazakhstan?
