Prime Minister dismisses Head of Georgian Intelligence Service

The Prime Minister of Georgia, Irakli Kobakhidze, dismissed Shalva Lomidze, the Head of the Georgian Intelligence Service.

With the Prime Minister's signature, the relevant order was posted on the website of the Government of Georgia.

"On the basis of the first paragraph of Article 9 of the Law of Georgia "On the Intelligence Service of Georgia", Intelligence Major General Shalva Lomidze will be dismissed from the position of the Head of the Intelligence Service of Georgia," reads the order.
