Due to the confrontation between the majority and the opposition MPs, the session of the Parliament was temporarily suspended

The plenary session of the Parliament, where the deputies discuss the first reading of the bill "On transparency of foreign influence", was temporarily stopped due to the confrontation between the majority and the opposition members, and a technical break was announced.

The Chairman of the Parliament, Shalva Papuashvili, left the meeting hall for the Chairman of the "National Movement", Levan Khabeishvili and the leader of "Strategy Agmashenebeli", Giorgi Vashadze. Also, the chairman of the "National Movement" faction Tina Bokuchava and "Lelo" deputy Ana Natsvlishvili were expelled from the session hall.

During the speech of the members of the majority, the opposition MPs chanted "No, to the Russian law!", "Everyone is a traitor to the country"; "You lose the answer!" They also protested by banging their hands and books on the table.

"The book is for reading, not for hitting. If you use it for its intended purpose, it will help you and the case as well," Papuashvili addressed the deputies.
