Irakli Kobakhidze: Rasa Juknevičienė cannot represent the EU - today European politicians, odious MEPs are reckless precisely because there is a closed circle of lies - this circle must be broken

The resolutions of the European Parliament in previous years have lost their value for the Georgian society - unfortunately, lies are widespread among the odious European Parliamentarians - people like Rasa Juknevičienė, who is a type who fell out of the Warsaw Pact, cannot represent the European Union today, - the Prime Minister of Georgia Irakli Kobakhidze said.

According to his own statement, a lie is a lie.

"I can tell you one thing that the resolutions of the European Parliament have lost their value for the Georgian society during the previous years. Do you remember the 3 resolutions, where they declared Kezerashvili a pitiable refugee, also declared Saakashvili and Gvaramia as political prisoners, where they demanded the punishment of Bidzina Ivanishvili. In such conditions, in the eyes of the public, the resolutions of the European Parliament no longer have any value. Unfortunately, lies are widespread among the odious MEPs, who ultimately prevent their own resolutions from being passed. This is an extremely un-European phenomenon and I very much hope that in the near future Europe will manage and overcome such type of problems that are unfortunately present today.

For me, the truth has a price. Facts and arguments. When we see a lie, it doesn't matter if it is a Georgian or a foreigner, a lie is a lie. When Kezerashvili is declared a poor refugee, of course, the statement of the MEP in such conditions will have no value. Rasa Juknevičienė cannot be the face of Europe. Such people cannot represent the European Union today," said Kobakhidze.

In addition, the Prime Minister spoke about the visit of Nika Gvaramia, one of the founders of the "Akhali" party, to Strasbourg, the meeting with the MEPs and their joint briefing. According to his statement, "Today's odious European politicians are bold precisely because there is a closed circle of lies that needs to be broken."

"This is an absolutely shameful statement. It can be directly said that transparency is needed for this as well. The more transparency there is, the less we will hear such shameful statements from European politicians. European politicians today, such odious politicians, are reckless precisely because there is a closed circle of lies. This closed circle of lies must be broken, and this is what the transparency law serves, which will definitely be passed in three readings," said Kobakhidze.
