Levan Khabeishvili: Unfortunately, the government is doing everything to take away the European future from the Georgian people - we will go to big cities and we will have a discussion about why this law is Russian
We have a meeting in Kutaisi - "No to Russian law, yes to Europe!" The choice of the Georgian people is the European Union, and unfortunately for us, the government is doing everything to take away the European future from the Georgian people, said Levan Khabeishvili, the chairman of the United National Movement.
According to him, it is clear from the statements of the Western partners that the European Union will not accept us if we adopt the law on "transparency of foreign influence".
"We have a meeting in Kutaisi - "No to Russian law, yes to Europe!" The choice of the Georgian people is the European Union, and unfortunately for us, the government is doing everything to reject the European Union, and therefore, this law is connected to only one thing, to take away the European future from the Georgian people, to reject the European Union. And therefore, of course, we will go to different big cities, where we will meet the local population and we will have a discussion about why this law is Russian, why it is an obstacle on the path to the European Union, and everyone can see it. It is clear from the statements of our Western partners that the European Union simply will not accept us if we adopt such laws that will be Russian, not focused on freedom and democracy," said Levan Khabeishvili.
For information, a march "Yes to Europe, no to Russian law!" will be held in Kutaisi from the Meskhishvili theater. Representatives of society and non-governmental organizations will take part in the march. Also, within the framework of the Victory Coalition, United National Movement Chairman Levan Khabeishvili, Strategy Builder Chairman Giorgi Vashadze and Mikheil Saakashvili’s personal representative of Sopo Japaridze will join the march.
