Irakli Gharibashvili: There is a campaign in Europe and the US, they bring transgenders to kindergartens and schools and tell them, if you don't like your gender, you can change it - these are anti-human, demonic initiatives and it needs to be blocked

There is a fierce campaign in Europe and the US, they bring transgenders to kindergartens and schools and tell them, if you don't like your gender, you can change it - these are anti-human, demonic initiatives and it needs to be blocked, - Georgian Dream Chairman Irakli Gharibashvili told journalists about the constitutional changes initiated by Georgian Dream against LGBT propaganda.

According to him, the mentioned initiative is timely and should be implemented.

"In 2014, when we adopted the anti-discrimination law, I voiced the initiative, which in 2-3 years our team included in the constitution - defining marriage as the union of a man and a woman. At that time, many people did not understand this, they thought it was populism. But look what happened very soon - today 25 out of 27 EU countries have already legalized same-sex marriage. i.e. then the initiative was necessary, which we included in the constitution. Similarly, today we are looking at the trends that are happening in Europe, in America, that it is not all good. This is a campaign. Transgenders are brought to kindergartens and schools and they tell a girl or a boy that if you don't like your gender, you can change it, without parental consent. We have to oppose this, these are anti-human, demonic initiatives and it needs to be blocked. That is why this initiative is necessary and timely and needs to be implemented", said Gharibashvili.
