Even in the face of prolonged blackmail, the threat that was voiced in a telephone conversation with one of the European Commissioners was shocking. In particular, in the conversation with me, the European Commissioner listed a number of measures that Western politicians can take after we override the veto on the transparency law, and while listing these measures, he mentioned - "Look, what happened to Fico and you should be very careful", - Prime Minister of Georgia Irakli Kobakhidze says in a statement.

As mentioned in the statement, for the purpose of prevention, he considered himself obliged to provide information about this threat to the Georgian society.

"Society observes the developments surrounding the law on transparency and sees that a number of high-ranking foreign politicians do not shy away from even open blackmail against the Georgian people and the government they elected. We have long been accustomed to this kind of insulting blackmail, and it has essentially lost its relevance for both the society and the government.

When the Prime Minister of Slovakia, who suffered a terrorist attack a few days ago and is still undergoing treatment, is mentioned in the context of blackmail related to the transparency law, it is extremely disturbing to us. I would like to emphasize that according to preliminary information, traces of the special services of one of the countries, which are particularly closely connected with the global war party, are behind the attack on the Prime Minister.

For the purpose of prevention, I considered myself obliged to provide information about this threat to the Georgian society. The parallel drawn with the attempted assassination of Robert Fico reminds us that in the form of the global war party, we are dealing with an extremely dangerous force that will do anything to bring chaos to Georgia.

I am sure that their plans will not be successful this time either, and Georgia will definitely maintain peace and political stability, which is a necessary condition for the country's development," reads the statement.
