According to the Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development, Vice Prime Minister Levan Davitashvili, the law "On transparency of foreign influence" has nothing to do with investments.

With this statement, after the government session, Davitashvili answered the question whether the mentioned law strengthened the investment climate of Georgia.

In addition, to the question of what will happen if it turns out that the law, on the contrary, worsened the investment environment, Davitashvili answers: "We are responsible for our decisions."

"Georgia's investment climate is quite attractive. This law may neither strengthen nor weaken [the investment climate]. This law is about something else. I think it has nothing to do with investments at all. Everything will appear in time. Let's not waste time. Let's not get ahead of events. Let's wait for the results and then talk," said Davitashvili.
