The unity of different political forces is important regarding the necessary steps to be taken after the defeat of Ivanishvili's regime, Giga Bokeria, the chairman of "European Georgia", said this after signing the "Georgian Charter" in Orbeliani Palace.
According to his explanation, this type of unity does not exclude differences, but shows the European way of the country, which is the desire of the majority of the Georgian society.
"It is important to demonstrate that different political forces can agree on the basic issues that are necessary for the security and freedom of our country. This is exactly what is given in this charter. "European Georgia" supported and supports this type of unity at all stages. This shows unity in content, which of course does not exclude important differences, but it shows the European way of the country, which the vast majority of our society wants. That's why this initiative of President Zurabishvili was important and necessary, and that's why we support it. We have a different opinion on the terms, however, this does not change either the tasks or the content in any way, that we should never allow the concentration of power in the hands of not only such a disgraceful, treacherous government, but any government. The reforms that are written here will ensure that," said Bokeria.
In addition, he also evaluated the statement of ex-president Mikheil Saakashvili, according to whom the opposition parties should be able to coordinate on the matter of making the most unified lists, which, according to his own assessment, has no alternative. According to Giga Bokeria, Saakashvili's statement is irrelevant. "What Saakashvili is talking about is irrelevant. There are many reasons for this, listing them would take us too far," said Bokeria.
