According to her, defeating Ivanishvili on October 26 is the most important thing that a modern Georgian citizen can do in his lifetime.
"What does the result of the European elections mean for us, the citizens of Georgia?
- The front opposing the EU has been defeated, the same policy will continue at this stage on the further enlargement of the EU. In the new European Commission, the mandate of European Commissioner for Enlargement will be the most important post, likely to be claimed by large and influential countries. The main issue will be Ukraine and the European project - that is, Europe from Lisbon to Tbilisi. A historic opportunity is given to us if we defeat the Russian government in October.
- Where the far-right forces won relatively more seats (the worst result is in France, obviously), the anti-immigration platform was the leading one, and in general, better protection of the internal space of Europe. That is, for those who will not be members of the European Union, Europe may become more inaccessible in the future. Therefore, when there is a chance to lose visa-free travel due to Ivanishvili's policy, the choice is simple - either you will be inside Europe, or outside, behind even more dividing barriers, in an insecure, poor space.
