Irakli Kobakhidze and representatives of ruling party meet with IRI observation mission

Irakli Kobakhidze, as the head of the election headquarters of Georgian Dream, together with the chairman of the foreign relations committee of the parliament Nikoloz Samkharadze, the chairwoman of the European integration committee Maka Botchorishvili and the chairman of the education, science and youth affairs committee Givi Mikanadze, met with the observation mission of the International Republican Institute (IRI), - the Georgian Dream party reports.

The main topic of the meeting with the mission consisting of 20 long-term observers was the October 26 parliamentary elections and the election environment.

"At the meeting, attention was paid to the new election legislation, the importance of international observation missions and the political environment in the country.

The head of the election headquarters of the ruling party said that the government is ready, like previous years, to do everything to hold free and fair elections. For this purpose, both short-term and long-term missions of a number of authoritative international organizations have been invited to observe the elections. Irakli Kobakhidze once again confirmed his readiness for open and active cooperation with international observers.
