"AI4Globe'' - Strengthening AI Literacy from Georgia to the World

AI4Globe is a new international initiative aimed at increasing artificial intelligence literacy among various key demographics, including children and youth, women, academia, and business communities worldwide. The project significantly transforms educational experiences and creates new opportunities to realize the potential of artificial intelligence.

The project will initially be implemented in Georgia and later be shared and expanded internationally. By empowering stakeholders to leverage AI across various sectors, the project seeks to foster a globally AI-literate society.

AI4Globe brings together four target groups:

  1. Children and Youth, for whom educational resources will be developed to enhance their AI literacy. Awareness campaigns, school informational meetings, innovation camps, idea competitions, and contests will be conducted. Teachers, as well as parents/guardians, will be trained and retrained. The broad thematic focus includes the possibilities and challenges of artificial intelligence, cyber hygiene, and safe navigation practices on the internet. UNICEF Georgia supports the children and youth component of the AI4Globe project.
  2. Women - who will be trained in AI, programming and other hands-on skills in tech. For participants of this component, hybrid training will be conducted in various regions, a podcast series will be created, a network of women working in AI will be established, and various events will be organized to develop skills and promote employment. In collaboration with UN Women, Business and Technology University is already running an unprecedented Women in AI project, which will be expanded and internationalized within the framework of this initiative.
  3. Small and mid-size enterprises (SMEs) - for which retraining programs and workshops on the effective integration of AI into business processes will be organized. Unique multimedia material needed for skills development will be prepared and shared with open access. AI business camps will be held, ToT program will be implemented and free digital transformation consulting services will be elaborated. Collaboration within this component will be carried out with the European Business Association (EBA).
  4. Academia - with participation of researchers and professors, stakeholders from academic community will conduct a country-specific needs assessment, identify AI opportunities and challenges in the education sector, develop AI literacy guide, create methodological documents necessary for teaching and research, ensure the internationalization of the initiative among global academic community.

AI4Globe partners include UNICEF, UN WOMEN, UNICRI, KTH (Sweden); University of Granada (Spain); Tallinn University of Technology (Estonia), Polytechnic Institute of Bragança (Portugal), University of Applied Sciences Zwickau (Germany), Beetroot Academy (Sweden-Ukraine), TEKWILL (Moldova) and the European Business Association.
