Ana Natsvlishvili responds to Mamuka Mdinaradze’s briefing: "The Government is panicking because it’s losing the elections"

Ana Natsvlishvili, one of the leaders of the "Strong Georgia" coalition, strongly criticized Mamuka Mdinaradze, the Executive Secretary of "Georgian Dream," following his recent briefing. She claimed that Mdinaradze’s statements reveal a government in panic, realizing that it is losing the upcoming October 26 elections.

"Today, we saw the briefing of Mamuka Mdinaradze, the panicked commentator of the defeated government, which is the final proof of one thing - the government understood very well that it is losing the elections of October 26," said Natsvlishvili. She added that the "Georgian Dream" is well aware that it will no longer be in power in 16 days and is panicking as a result.

Natsvlishvili emphasized that the success of "Strong Georgia," a coalition of five political entities running under the number 9 for the October 26 elections, has disrupted the political strategy of "Georgian Dream." According to her, the ruling party had relied for years on fostering a polarized political landscape, forcing Georgians to choose between "Georgian Dream" or the "National Movement."

"The briefing clearly shows how embittered Mamuka Mdinaradze and the entire 'Georgian Dream' are because 'Strong Georgia' foiled their plan against Georgia, which 'Georgian Dream' used for 12 years. For 12 years, Bidzina Ivanishvili and his team tried to make the Georgian political field bi-polar, strongly polarized, and the Georgian people had two choices - either 'Georgian Dream' or 'National Movement,'" Natsvlishvili noted. She argued that her coalition offers voters a real alternative to the past, which has unnerved the ruling party.

She also criticized Mdinaradze’s assertion that the opposition is controlled by the West, calling it a "paranoid myth of 'Kagebe' [KGB]" and a false narrative. "Mamuka Mdinaradze's statement is written directly in Moscow, and he repeats the paranoid myth of 'Kagebe' that the West is controlling the opposition in Georgia. They themselves know very well that this is a lie fabricated by 'Kagebe,'" she said.

Natsvlishvili concluded by stating that the Georgian people now see "Strong Georgia" as representing their will, while "Georgian Dream" has lost the public’s trust and legitimacy. "What is the truth and what worries 'Georgian Dream' is that today the will of the Georgian people is expressed by 'Strong Georgia' and the opposition, while 'Georgian Dream' no longer has the trust and legitimacy of the people. That's why they are panicking," she asserted.
