This is not an ordinary election, but a choice between the European future and the Russian past, - the President of Georgia said in an interview with the Financial Times.
According to Salome Zurabishvili, "Georgian Dream" does not try to win with "traditional methods" and high turnout at the elections will contribute to the complete defeat of "Georgian Dream".
"Therefore, the way to win the elections is to falsify the elections. It has already started. Therefore, mobilization is very important, because the only scenario in which they can try to steal the elections is if the people themselves do not mobilize," Salome Zurabishvili notes.
In an interview with FT, Salome Zurabishvili calls the 12-year rule of "Georgian Dream" "one-party rule" and notes that "they control all institutions of the country".
"How do you get rid of the Russian government and the Russians, whatever you want to call them, by control or pressure?" - says Salome Zurabishvili, who says that the government deserves this nickname because it uses the Kremlin's methods.
"According to the President of Georgia, it is doubtful that the opposition parties will be able to form a coalition government within the two weeks provided for by the constitution after the confirmation of the election results, and the interim government will provide clarity to the voters," writes the Financial Times.
"I think the population may have understood better than the political parties that this is a referendum and a real choice for the future," said Salome Zurabishvili.
