The protest will bring results, but we must understand that the protest will be long, exhausting, with its victories and failures, one of the leaders of "Strong Georgia" and the fourth president of Georgia, Giorgi Margvelashvili, told "InterpressNews" at the rally on Rustaveli Avenue.
According to him, this is a very long way for the country to go.
"The protest will bring results, but we must understand that the protest will be long, exhausting, with its victories and failures. This is a very long road that we have to go through and we have already gone through it once when we created an independent Georgia from Soviet Georgia. We are in the same process now. I really like that the political leaders and society are gradually realizing that we should get an independent Georgia from Soviet Georgia. Politically, this is an adequate assessment of the political moment," Margvelashvili noted.
According to Margvelashvili, the role of politicians is to "plan different and adequate actions, i.e. not to tire the society, but not to let them down."
"Absolutely all forms should be used - action, various types of public actions, relations with our partners, public mobilization... There is a whole palette of political possibilities that you should use. The role of politicians is to plan different, adequate actions from this political palette - not to tire the society, but not to throw a charge", said Giorgi Margvelashvili.
For information, opposition parties and their supporters are gathering on Rustaveli Avenue. At today's rally, it will be known what the opposition's protest forms and action plan will be for protesting the election results and protecting the votes.
