Giorgi Margvelashvili: Never has the West stood so firmly by our side - never has there been such a clearly defined goal to not accept lies, not to accept falsification

Never has the West stood so firmly by our side - never has the goal been so clearly defined, not to accept the lies, not to accept the falsification with which they have to bring the future of us, yours and our children to Putin, - this is how the fourth President of Georgia Giorgi Margvelashvili, one of the leaders of "Strong Georgia", addressed the rally participants on Rustaveli Avenue.

He thanked the Western partners for their support.

According to Margvelashvili, we should understand that the dismantling of Soviet Georgia, the dismantling of the transformation of Georgia into a Russian province is not a two-day or three-day struggle, it is a resistance movement that will require all our energy, patience and strength.

"We are at the beginning of a very difficult struggle, and the most important thing is to understand correctly how to fight for the return of freedom. We must understand that the dismantling of Soviet Georgia, the dismantling of the transformation of Georgia into a Russian province, is not a two-day or three-day struggle. It is a resistance movement that will take all our energy, patience, strength, but the beginning of this struggle, the opening is extremely good, a sign of extremely good. This is the most important thing, because each of you remembers which number it painted. They remember that it was not the "Georgian dream" and this feeling of truth is very important that the opposition was able to form an effective resistance movement. Not once have I said that it is not easy.

The West has never stood by us so firmly. The goal has never been so clearly stated, not to accept the lies, not to accept the falsification, with which they have to bring our, your and our children's future to Putin. We have never had such a strong West on our side, and the proof of this is that our friends will walk to join us, you and the spirit of the whole free world, because free people do not differ by nationality. Free people have dignity, and that dignity unites our friends and unites us all. Once again, I thank them for this support," Margvelashvili said.
