According to prosecutor Ketevan Chachava, the former public defender, Nino Lomjaria, who was questioned within the framework of the investigation into possible election fraud, did not present different, new evidence that he personally witnessed.
According to the prosecutor, Lomjaria spoke about her general assessments at today's session, and the evidence she presented was already the subject of the investigation.
"We will question all those persons who spread information about election fraud through mass media, including today's witness. The witness did present some documents, but they were mainly complaints filed by the monitoring organization with the Central Election Commission and then appealed to the court. Also, the photo-video material presented by him are stories that have already appeared in the mass media, as well as the photo-video material shown on the website of the monitoring organization "My Voice", which was already the subject of the investigation. At today's session, the witness stated his general assessments, she spoke mainly based on the stories and complaints, of course, we will check all these presented documents, photo-video materials and plan the next investigative actions. Different, she did not present any new evidence that she personally witnessed.
It is a subject for us to check, she presented complaints that were submitted to the election commission and also to the court, all election violations cannot be a crime, the mentioned complaints should be sorted, information interesting for us should be found. There is a lot of material that needs to be studied," Chachava says.
Nino Lomjaria answered the questions of the investigative body in front of the plaintiff in Tbilisi City Court for almost 3 hours.
