According to available information, Ambassador to the USA Davit Zalkaliani also resigned from his post

According to reports in the media, Georgia's extraordinary and plenipotentiary ambassador to the United States of America, Davit Zalkaliani, also resigned from his post.

Several media outlets, including "Radio Liberty" and "Formula" TV station, are reporting on this based on sources.

"Two sources from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and one from the Embassy of Georgia in the United States confirm to Radio Freedom the information about the resignation of the Georgian Ambassador to the United States, Davit Zalkaliani," Radio Freedom writes.

Zalkalian's resignation is probably related to the ongoing protests in the country and the resignations of diplomats.

Zalkaliani has been the ambassador of Georgia to the USA since 2022, and before that he headed the diplomatic agency as the minister of foreign affairs of Georgia.
