The judges clearly saw that the detainees were beaten, tortured, victims of inhuman treatment and were not interested in where and under what conditions they were retaliated against - moreover, when the victims began to tell their stories, the judges silenced them and told them that the facts of torture and ill-treatment did not concern them. - About this, the civil platform "European Orbit of Georgia" Founder Nino Lomjaria said.

According to her, after November 28, the rights of more than 460 detainees were violated both in investigative bodies and in courtrooms.

"Today we would like to talk about the judges who are involved in carrying out repressions against tortured people. We have this information based on the fact that lawyers of 11 non-governmental organizations coordinately help detained, tortured, beaten citizens both in detention centers and in court. Accordingly, we are present at the court proceedings and the results of our observation are based on the mentioned conclusions.

According to the data of this time, information about the arrest of more than 460 persons was received on the hotline of non-governmental organizations. Of these, 430 are detained under the administrative rule, and 36 under the criminal law rule. It is possible that the number of arrests is higher because it is not based on official information.

After November 28, the rights of more than 460 detainees were violated both in investigative bodies and in courtrooms. The judges did not take into account the evidence presented by the defense and relied only on the policemen's, in most cases, false statements. They fined citizens from 2,000 to 3,000 GEL without justification. Also, without any basis and evidence, they kept them in custody from 4 to 12 days," said Lomjaria.

According to Lomjaria, there were cases when there were inconsistencies between the presented video evidence and the testimony of the policemen, although the judge still recognized the citizens as lawbreakers.

"Judges systematically violated the principles of a fair trial, in the main case, they did not meet the motions for postponement of the process and gave only a 1-hour break to the parties to gather evidence and present them in court.

Also, the judges clearly saw that the detainees were beaten, tortured, victims of inhumane treatment and were not interested in where and under what conditions they were dealt with. Moreover, when victims began to tell their stories, judges silenced them and told them that the facts of torture and ill-treatment did not concern them.

The judges did not take into account that the person had such a physical injury that his placement in the isolation ward was life-threatening. considered cases of persons who needed urgent medical assistance; "Despite their physical injuries, they were sentenced to administrative detentions and sent to isolation cells," said Lomjaria.

As Lomjaria pointed out, they think that these judges were carrying out a political order.

"It is obvious that their mission was exemplary punishment and repression of the protestors. Here is the list of judges who were involved in this repression: Lela Mildenberg; Zviad Tsekvava; Lela Tsagareishvili; Koba Chagunava; Nino Enukidze; Manuchar Tsatsua", said Lomjaria.
