Salome Zurabishvili: What will happen in Parliament tomorrow is a parody

What will happen tomorrow in the parliament is a parody - it will be an event that is completely devoid of legitimacy, is unconstitutional and illegitimate! - This is how Salome Zurabishvili reacts to the indirect presidential elections scheduled for December 14 in the Parliament Palace.

According to Zurabishvili, "Georgian Dream" turned the state into a parody.

"Everything is a parody, even what is happening today, that the "power of the people" leaves the "dream", then it returns, and the president is appointed from there. All this has nothing to do with the political process. This is the saddest thing, because the state has been made a parody. This is very offensive to everyone.

This is a kind of provoking people's reactions, because it is an insult to everything - our past, traditions, culture, to treat the institutions of an independent country like this. This is unacceptable!

But all this does not matter - they will remain a parody. The main thing is happening elsewhere - in our streets and cities", said Salome Zurabishvili.

On December 14, the electoral college will elect the President of Georgia. Only one candidate - Mikheil Kavelashvili - has been nominated for the position of president.
