Irakli Kobakhidze - "We have 'red lines,' but we are ready to do everything to make Georgia a member of the European Union"

Regarding our foreign policy course, everything is as clear as today. Our foreign political priorities are clearly defined, including at the constitutional level, and our goal is EU integration. Naturally, everything will be done to achieve this, said Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze during a briefing at the government administration.

He further stated that the only thing that cannot be compromised is the country's sovereignty, independence, and territorial integrity, while everything else is open for discussion.

"The only thing that cannot be compromised is our sovereignty, independence, and territorial integrity. Everything else is, of course, a matter for discussion. We have 'red lines,' but at the same time, we are ready to do everything to ensure that, ultimately, Georgia becomes a member of the European Union. This is also the position of the newly elected president, Mr. Mikheil Kavelashvili. Everything will be done to ensure that we ultimately become a member of the European Union. By 2030, we believe that Georgia's EU membership is absolutely realistic," the Prime Minister stated.
