U.S. Congressman and Chairman of the Helsinki Commission, Joe Wilson (Republican Party), shared information about a phone conversation he had with the President of Georgia, Salome Zurabishvili.

As Wilson wrote on his social media platform X, he agrees with Salome Zurabishvili that "the only way forward for Georgia is new elections."

"I had a good phone conversation with the President of Georgia, Salome Zurabishvili. At this moment of political crisis, she is the country’s only legitimate leader. I agree with her—the only way forward for Georgia is new elections. The Georgian people deserve a government that represents them," Wilson wrote.
