Mikheil Kavlashvili - The alignment of values and worldviews gives me a strong foundation of belief that under the new U.S. administration, we will manage to reset and normalize our relations. This statement was made by Mikheil Kavlashvili, elected to the presidential office by the Electoral College, from the parliamentary tribune.
According to Kavlashvili, after Donald Trump's victory in the U.S., the change in the global pseudo-liberal agenda began, which he considers a positive development.
"I would call this the Donald Trump effect. The ongoing processes in the U.S. and its global implications have once again convinced the Georgian people of the correct political course and values our state upholds.
Peaceful policies, prioritizing national interests, safeguarding conservative and traditional values, family strength, and the strengthening of Christianity's role—these are the values on which our state has stood for the past decade. It is clear that U.S. policies in the next four years will be based on these same values," Kavlashvili stated.
Mikheil Kavlashvili, elected by the Electoral College to the position of president, addressed Parliament with a report on the country's most crucial issues.
