Journalist Nikusha Katsia, who was arrested on drug charges, claims that the security guards are making him squat before the trial.

He made this statement immediately after the trial began.

“The security guards are not allowing me to sit in the basement, I asked for papers and they didn’t give them to me, and they made me squat today too, I have to say this in every case,” Katsia said.

At today’s hearing, the defense presented the conclusion of the alternative expert examination it had appointed, regarding which the prosecutor requested time to state its position. The hearing will be held on March 7 at 11:00.

For information, Nikusha Katsia was charged under Article 260, Part 6 of the Criminal Code, which involves the illegal purchase and storage of a large amount of narcotic drugs.

The crime is punishable by 8 to 20 years or life imprisonment. Nikusha Katsia was arrested on December 7.
