Grigol Vashadze collaborates with "Georgian Dream" – Nika Melia is essentially accusing Mikheil Saakashvili of attempting to make a deal with "Georgian Dream" to secure his release, with Grigol Vashadze being one of the instruments. This was stated by one of the leaders of the "Federalists" party, Tamar Chergoleishvili, on Palitra News’ program "360 Degrees."
According to Tamar Chergoleishvili, Georgia’s third president, Mikheil Saakashvili, allegedly proposed to the government: "I will stop the party, just let me out of prison."
"Since the Charles Michel process, or perhaps even earlier, Grigol Vashadze has been cooperating with 'Georgian Dream.' What Nika Melia cannot say, I have said—I have no problem telling people directly. Nika Melia is essentially accusing Mikheil Saakashvili of trying to negotiate with 'Georgian Dream' for his release, with Grigol Vashadze as one of the instruments.
Now, when Bidzina Ivanishvili demands to ban the 'United National Movement,' if he truly wanted the party to be banned and disappear, Mikheil Saakashvili himself had proposed, 'I will stop the party, just let me out of prison.' He did this during court hearings, and his lawyer, Shalva Khachapuridze—who was a prominent 'Georgian Dream' supporter—was hired in the hope that he could negotiate with Bidzina Ivanishvili. But this was not in Bidzina Ivanishvili’s interest. He needs Saakashvili as an opponent. And now that Saakashvili’s party came in fifth place in the capital, he needs to attach satellites to it," said Tamar Chergoleishvili.
