Mikheil Kavelashvili arrived in Rome on April 25, along with a delegation.

The Pope's body was recently moved from St. Peter's Basilica to St. Peter's Square.

Earlier, world leaders, including US President Donald Trump and Prince William of the United Kingdom, visited the basilica to pay tribute to the Pope.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky also arrived to attend the Pope's funeral ceremony and his appearance in St. Peter's Square was met with applause.

Thousands of people, including leaders of various countries, are attending the ceremony. Present in St. Peter's Square are: US President Donald Trump, UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer, Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni and President Sergio Mattarella, and Brazilian President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva.

After the Mass, the Pope’s body will be transferred to the Basilica of Santa Maria Maggiore in Rome, where he will be buried.
