Zurab Pololikashvili: I saw the decision of the “deep” rats on the plane, the fact that it was agreed with me is a big lie - let Kobakhidze come out and say what he exchanged my candidacy for!

Zurab Pololikashvili claims that the decision to withdraw his candidacy from the position of Secretary-General of the United Nations World Tourism Organization has not been agreed with him.

He speaks about this in a letter sent to Formula and demands that Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze explain why he did this and “what he exchanged” his candidacy for.

"It probably seems strange that I am not visible... I have a 12-hour flight. When I got on the plane, I saw the decision of the “deep” rats. I will fly down and talk to you tomorrow. Until then, the fact that this was my desire or was agreed upon with me is a big lie. It would be good if Kobakhidze explained why he did this... I have been writing, calling him and he has been hiding for 3 weeks and more, let him come out and say what he exchanged my candidacy for! I do not represent either the deep state or the global war party - I am the Georgian Secretary-General of the UN World Tourism Organization," he notes in a letter published by Formula.

The Georgian government has withdrawn the candidacy of Zurab Pololikashvili for the position of Secretary-General of the UN World Tourism Organization by its own decision.

As InterpressNews was told by the government administration, initially, the Georgian government nominated Zurab Pololikashvili's candidacy, but then changed its decision.

In addition, according to them, Georgia will support the candidate nominated by the United Arab Emirates for the position of Secretary-General of the UN World Tourism Organization.
