Mikheil Saakashvili: I received accurate information — the State Security Service (SSS) is planning to accuse the "United National Movement," especially Levan Khabeishvili, of attempting an armed coup

According to Georgia’s third president, Mikheil Saakashvili, the State Security Service (SSS) is planning to accuse the chairman of the United National Movement’s political council, Levan Khabeishvili, of attempting an armed coup.

As Saakashvili writes on social media, the SSS is planning to arrest a large part of the United National Movement's leadership.

“I have received accurate information: Ivanishvili’s mafia-style SSS is preparing a new major provocation — to accuse the United National Movement, especially Levan Khabeishvili, of attempting an armed coup, to arrest much of the leadership, and to charge them with attempting a government overthrow.

They will use modern methods of falsification for this. I categorically declare that both I and my comrades-in-arms absolutely reject any form of violent action.

Our goal is to create the broadest possible protest front and to change the government through offensive, yet peaceful, actions. Anyone preaching anything else is either an agent of Ivanishvili or simply a provocateur,” Saakashvili writes.
