Paata Manjgaladze: If Anri Okhanashvili shared secret information of the State Security Service with Irakli Kobakhidze and Bidzina Ivanishvili, the new head of the State Security Service will share it only with Ivanishvili

If Anri Okhanashvili shared secret information of the State Security Service with Irakli Kobakhidze and Bidzina Ivanishvili, the new head of the State Security Service will share it only with Ivanishvili, - Paata Manjgaladze, a member of the Strategy the Builder party, states.

Manjgaladze evaluates Okhanashvili’s resignation from the post of head of the State Security Service and the nomination of Mamuka Mdinaradze to the said position as an internal conflict.

“An internal struggle is underway in the Georgian Dream. This is the period ahead of the collapse. If Anri Okhanashvili shared secret information of the State Security Service with Irakli Kobakhidze and Bidzina Ivanishvili, the new head will share it only with Ivanishvili.

This internal struggle will ultimately end with Kobakhidze not being the Prime Minister, but we will accelerate the process and remove the regime sooner,” Paata Manjgaladze said.

Anri Okhanashvili, who took up the post of Head of the State Security Service in April of this year, resigned on August 23. On the same day, Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze nominated Mamuka Mdinaradze for the post of Head of the State Security Service. According to Kobakhidze, Anri Okhanashvili will be his advisor on national security issues.
