Irakli Kobakhidze: Several people have already been detained, primarily the organizers of the attempted overthrow - many more will face punishment for the violence they committed

Several people have already been detained, primarily the organizers of the attempted overthrow. Many more will face punishment for the violence they committed against the state and law enforcement agencies, stated Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze during a briefing.

According to the Prime Minister, no one will remain unpunished, and the law will be very strict toward those who carried out the violence.

“I want to remind everyone that no one will remain unpunished. We have far more resources to identify perpetrators than we did even last year or the year before. Accordingly, many people should expect punishment for the violence they committed against the state and law enforcement agencies. The law will act very strictly toward them. The peaceful development of our country will continue, and this is our primary responsibility to the Georgian public and the voters who showed up at the polling stations yesterday with full mobilization, supporting the preservation of peace and the development of our country,” Kobakhidze stated.
