Mamuka Khazaradze: Ivanishvili and the Russian Dream are in a serious panic, if something can be cooked up in a sick head, they wrote it down in a stupid indictment - there is an attempt to create some basis for banning our party

Ivanishvili and the Russian Dream are in a very serious panic. The proof of this is that today I was charged, - the leader of Strong Georgia - Lelo, Mamuka Khazaradze, stated after leaving the Adjara Prosecutor's Office, where he was charged.

According to Mamuka Khazaradze, such actions are an attempt to create a basis for banning the Lelo party in the Constitutional Court.

“I want to tell you that Bidzina Ivanishvili and the Russian Dream are in a very serious panic. The proof of this is that today I was accused of such absurdity as criminal organization, making Molotov cocktails on Rustaveli, blowing up cars and if something can be cooked up in a sick head, they wrote it down in this stupid accusation. I want to appeal to them that no matter what you do in Georgia, you cannot stop freedom of speech, you cannot kill the political process, although you are making a great effort, you cannot take away democracy from the Georgian people. The struggle will continue on our side within all legal frameworks, despite the fact that we do not have a court and justice. We will continue this struggle and we will not give such absurdities a chance to deceive people.

What is written here is absurd. I do not see any connection between this delusion and why I was brought here. This is an attempt to create some basis for banning our party in the Constitutional Court. This is mainly a PR campaign because everything that is written here is a lie.

Now they need a fuss because 9 million square meters in Batumi and Tbilisi were handed over to the Arabs. We demand that this agreement be made public and the Georgian society will see how much of a scam we are dealing with,” said Mamuka Khazaradze.

As for the fine imposed on Mamuka Khazaradze by the Anti-Corruption Bureau, Khazaradze states that they want to cover up the corruption case of former ministers of the Georgian Dream with a fine of 2,000 GEL.

“I have never hidden anything in my life. There was a technical [error]. We discovered it ourselves, by the way, we ourselves applied, and instead of having the discovery verified with us, they started a campaign on television, starting with the Speaker of the Parliament and the so-called Prime Minister, who stood and commented on the tax misunderstanding for a month. All this ended, the amount was paid at the same moment. We determined the amount of the fine and paid it in advance. As for filling out the declaration, they fined me 2 thousand GEL. This is another attempt to cover up the millions that Ivanishvili’s ministers are stealing with a fine of 2 thousand GEL. They will not succeed,” said Mamuka Khazaradze.
