National Movement - On November 28, we, the main political force fighting for the European choice, will once again proudly stand in the ranks of patriots gathered to save Georgia

The United National Movement, the main political force fighting for Georgia’s European choice, will once again proudly stand in the ranks of patriots gathered for the salvation of Georgia - we call on you to gather at Tbilisi State University on November 28 at 7:00 PM and march to the Parliament building, - reads the statement issued by the United National Movement party.

“On November 28, 2024, the Russian fifth column in Georgia, in the form of the Ivanishvili regime, in gross violation of the Georgian Constitution and betrayal of national interests, publicly declared Georgia’s EU accession process dead.

On this day, the Georgian people, united as one, united and took to the streets to defend Georgia’s sovereignty, freedom, and European choice.

A year later, Georgian society is still steadfastly defending Georgia’s choice for a free, dignified, and European future.

The Ivanishvili Russian regime, through mass repressions, the arrests of hundreds of worthy citizens and political leaders of Georgia, the destruction of civil society, the abolition of political parties, attempts to encroach on academic freedom, and the prohibition of freedom of speech and expression, is trying to sow fear and hopelessness in society, impoverish and drive our worthy fellow citizens out of the country.

In order to sow hopelessness, and at the same time to please Russia, the Ivanishvili regime has transferred the third President of Georgia, Mikheil Saakashvili, from a medical penitentiary institution to prison again, after his fifth year of captivity.

This cruel spiral of the Russian dream, which aims to destroy the Georgian state and the Georgian people, will not be able to break the historical courage and aspiration of the Georgian people towards a free, European world.

On November 28, the Georgian people will once again have their say on this historical path, which will definitely end in victory!

The United National Movement, the main political force fighting for Georgia’s European choice and the main opponent of Russian imperialism in Georgia, together with all like-minded political parties, civil organizations and the majority of Georgian citizens, will once again proudly stand in the ranks of patriots gathered for the salvation of Georgia.

We call on all patriots of Georgia: on November 28, at 7:00 PM, let's gather at Tbilisi State University and march to the Parliament building.

Let us make the voice of a free, European Georgia heard throughout the civilized world!”, reads the statement.
