Support for the UN resolution concerning Ukraine's territorial integrity is truly not charity or heroism. It is the minimum level of elementary decency - Ukraine does not need lectures from those moralists who act as retranslators of the narratives of the "Russian world." Ukraine needs real allies, - this is stated in a declaration by the Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, Ruslan Stefanchuk, disseminated in the Georgian language on social media.

He was responding to the statement by the Chairman of the Parliament of Georgia, Shalva Papuashvili, who said that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy is an ungrateful person who shows no gratitude either to the United States or to Georgia.

According to Stefanchuk, those who constantly reproach Ukraine for "ingratitude" are in reality covering up their own loss of dignity and, in exchange, displaying base subservience.

"I read with amazement yet another accusation from the Speaker of the Parliament of Georgia, Shalva Papuashvili, about Ukraine's alleged 'ingratitude' for supporting the UN resolution. They say: a spoken word is not a dagger - you can't put it back in the sheath.

Ukrainians are a grateful nation. We respect everyone who helps us in the fight for our own freedom and the right to choose. And of course, we are grateful to the Georgian people. The people who know exactly what dignity is. The people who boldly come out onto the squares of their cities in support of Ukraine. The people who fight shoulder to shoulder with Georgian volunteer battalions against our common Russian enemy.

Therefore, to those who constantly reproach Ukraine (which is bleeding in the fight for the right to live) for 'ingratitude' and are in reality covering up their own loss of dignity while displaying base subservience in exchange, I want to remind them of the words of the great Georgian philosopher Merab Mamardashvili: 'There is no formula for human freedom, nor is there a cure for human idiocy. Political effectiveness is not the main thing. The main thing is freedom.' And finally: Ukraine does not need lectures from those moralists who act as retranslators of the narratives of the 'Russian world.' Ukraine needs real allies - those who understand: in the fight against rashist evil, they do not count compliments, but value position and support," - stated Stefanchuk.
