Irakli Kobakhidze responded to a statement by the so-called “Opposition Alliance,” which recently presented several initiatives outlining the areas in which it plans to work.
According to the Prime Minister, the opposition’s statement has no value and represents the position of “criminals.”
“This is a statement by criminals,” Kobakhidze said.
He added that the opposition’s unification carries no significance because, in his view, it is “completely discredited.”
“You know what these people were known for when they were in power and what they are known for now when they are in the opposition.
When there is talk about violence, you remember their violence against the media; you remember their actions on May 26, when several people lost their lives during a peaceful gathering. And now these criminals, these offenders who handed over 20% of the country’s territory, are talking about such things,” Kobakhidze stated.
According to him, Georgia’s society has already delivered its verdict on those he described as criminals.
“The Georgian public clearly distinguishes between black and white. Therefore, their statements have no value in the eyes of society,” he said.
Kobakhidze also dismissed the opposition’s attempts to unite, saying that the opposition is entirely discredited and its chances of success are “absolutely zero.”
