Bidzina Ivanishvili, Honorary Chairman of “Georgian Dream,” has arrived at the Holy Trinity Cathedral.

Ivanishvili is at the cathedral accompanied by his family.

The civil memorial service for His Holiness Catholicos-Patriarch Ilia II of All Georgia is being attended by representatives of the executive and legislative branches, including Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze, Parliament Speaker Shalva Papuashvili, President Mikheil Kavlashvili, Tbilisi Mayor Kakha Kaladze, as well as other members of the Cabinet and Parliament.

His Holiness Catholicos-Patriarch Ilia II, Metropolitan of Mtskheta-Tbilisi, Bishop of Bichvinta and Tsikhum-Abkhazia, was recently transferred from the Patriarchal residence to the Holy Trinity Cathedral for the civil memorial service.

The Patriarch will be buried on Sunday at the Sioni Cathedral.

For reference, His Holiness Catholicos-Patriarch Ilia II passed away at the age of 93. A period of national mourning has been declared in Georgia following his death.
