As Gegelia explained, now that new geopolitical realities are being sorted out in the region and the fate of new energy lines is being decided, they go to Bidzina Ivanishvili to discuss the above issues, because they know that Ivanishvili is the real leader of all the main processes in Georgia.

According to Gegelia, the representatives of the Cabinet of Ministers play the game of pretending to be rulers, but there comes a point when the game is no longer possible, because the situation demands the appearance of a real leader.

“There is no president, no cabinet of ministers - to use Ivanishvili’s words, there are “call them whatever you want” people. That’s what Ivanishvili called the prime minister who is currently in prison. Then he will put this [Irakli Kobakhidze] in prison and he will have a new servant. Ivanishvili views these people as objects. Kobakhidze is also an object. Today he is an influential object, tomorrow he will be gone. Irakli Gharibashvili was also very influential and where is he today?! Grigol Liluashvili was influential, but where is he today?! Why does Kobakhidze think that he is an exception in something? - Is he smarter than Liluashvili? Does he have darker thoughts than Gharibashvili? - They are all equal pawns!

In Gegelia’s opinion, Ilham Aliyev’s visit to Georgia is directly related to the ongoing processes in the region – specifically, to the issues of energy security and energy policy.

“The situation is clear - on the one hand, a new corridor is being created with the direct involvement of Trump, which bears Trump’s name. We made an initiative in this regard yesterday. The logical continuation of this road to the west should be the Anaklia deep-sea port project. We said that it should also be named after Trump. Some people focused on this. People can no longer see that there is already a road that has rewritten the entire dynamics of security and transit in the South Caucasus. If the Anaklia port is built, it will itself be a functional unit of this road - it will be part of this chain. I don’t know what they found surprising in the fact that it is also be called the same name. The Trump road already exists, and the Anaklia port should be a logical continuation of this road and this chain,” Grigol Gegelia said.

Speaking about the Anaklia deep-sea port project, Gegelia emphasized that the priority for Lelo is not that Mamuka Khazaradze and Badri Japaridze build the Anaklia port, but that the port be built, because Georgia needs it.

“It is also extremely important that Anaklia be built with a proper, transparent contract, and not like an Arab-forged-project, sanctioned corrupt Chinese companies or Russian-Chinese companies channeling obscure capital, which the Dream loves.

Anaklia should be built with American capital, by Euro-Atlantic transparent quality financial institutions, and we will be very happy - the main thing for us is that the Anaklia port be built and Georgia does not miss the chance. Such a chance comes once in a century,” Grigol Gegelia said.
