Sulkhan Tamazashvili appointed as Minister of Internal Affairs

Sulkhan Tamazashvili, Chairman of the Government of the Autonomous Republic of Adjara, has been appointed Minister of Internal Affairs of Georgia, Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze announced at the press conference held at the Government Administration.

According to the Prime Minister, the candidate for the Chairman of the Government of the Autonomous Republic of Adjara will be nominated in the coming days, based on consultations with the President of Georgia and the Supreme Council of the Autonomous Republic of Adjara.

"The position of Minister of Internal Affairs of Georgia will be held by Sulkhan Tamazashvili. I would like to thank him for his successful work as the Chairman of the Government of the Autonomous Republic of Adjara. Many changes have been made in the Autonomous Republic of Adjara, and the foundation for many new projects has been laid. All this was implemented under the leadership of Sulkhan Tamazashvili, and I thank him for everything. He is very well known in the system of the Ministry of Internal Affairs. He is a senior representative of this system. I would like to wish him success on the position of Minister of Internal Affairs.
